Our top selling custom lapel pins to date are our softball and baseball trading pins. Little league teams, coaches and parents love to trade these pins at the tournaments. Trading pins have been popular since the early 1980\’s. The internet gives us a way to make customizing your trading pins easy and fun. Trading pins are traditionally made using soft enamel, but offset printed pins are becoming more popular and practical. Soft enamel trading pins require at least 2 weeks of production time during the summer, but we recommend ordering a month or two ahead of time. Because soft enamel pins are hand-made, it is best not to rush production.
Sometimes trading pins need to be offset digitally printed in order to meet a deadline or to use graphics that cannot be used on soft enamel trading pins. Sometimes, customers order when the tournament is only a week or two away and there is not enough time for soft enamel trading pins. Printed pins are a great option when there is still a week or two before the trading event. See our offset printed trading pins design examples below.
Soft enamel lapel pins are great for many different purposes, not just trading pins. See our soft enamel lapel pin designs below for examples.
Hard enamel creates a flat surfaced pin. The hard enamel or \”epola\” hardens flush with the surrounding metal. Soft enamel falls back into the recessed areas allowing for raised metal areas. Here are some of the hard enamel lapel pins we designed.
Lapel pins can be printed or die struck and enamel filled by hand. Printing your lapel pins is faster and gives you the ability to place high resolution images onto the surface of your pins. Each printed lapel pin is sealed with an epoxy dome in order to protect the surface from scratching and fading. See the printed lapel pins we designed below for examples.
Pins fast can also produce die struck pins and custom coins. The die struck process creates a recessed image into metal. The image can be brightened with using antique plating. See our die struck lapel pin designs below for a few samples of our designs.
In addition to making regular printed pins in as little as 5-7 days, we offer our rush printed lapel pins. These rush pins are produced in as little as 1 day in order to meet your deadline. Sometimes, little league teams need trading pins at the last minute – we can help them with our special rush trading pins!
